Overview: 5,000 ha includes a freshwater lake, covering approximately 500ha, in an area of
limestone mountains. The lake is surrounded by tropical rain forest, some of
which remains in good condition. Approximately 100 species of birds and 30
species of mammal have been recorded, including several that are rare or

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival into Hanoi, transfer to your hotel and get to know your tour leader
during your tour briefing. If time available, give yourself the first impression
about Vietnam with a cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarter. Have
dinner with Hanoi’s delicious dishes. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi– Lang Son (B, L, D)

Early in the morning, our tour guide will pick up at hotel for the drive to Lang
Son (3 ½ hours), stopover to visit But Thap Pagoda on the way. Considered as one
of the most sacred pagodas and an important pilgrimage center of citizens in the
Red River Delta. Afternoon visit Nhi Thanh and Tam Thanh Caves, To Thi Rock which
is famous for its love legend, Fairy Pagoda and Dong Kinh Market. Overnight in Lang
Son
Day 3: Lang Son – Cao Bang (B, L, D)
Depart for Cao Bang (4 hours). Check in local hotel and order for lunch. In the
afternoon, drive 50 km to visit the former headquarters of the Viet Minh freedom
fighters led by Ho Chi Minh in the 1940s. Enjoy beautiful landscapes dotted with
the villages of the Tay and Nung minorities. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 4: Cao Bang – Bac kan (B, L, D)
Morning drive to Cho Ra (3 1/2 hours). Transfer to local hotel, Have lunch.
Afternoon boat trip downstream the Nang River into Ba Be Lake, exploring the
National Park by boat with stops to visit the limestone grottoes and Tayand Nung
ethnic minority villages. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the unspoilt
tropical jungle, emerald waters, limestone mountains and the tribal life style.
Drive back to Cho Ra for dinner. Overnight in Cho Ra.
Day 5: Bac Kan– Thai Nguyen – Hanoi (B, L, D)
Drive to Thai Nguyen, lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Ethnology Museum to
see its rich displays of the cultures of the various ethnic groups of Vietnam.
Return to Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi Departure (B)
Spend last minutes for downtown shopping (ceramics, silver-carvings, silk,...)
or at leisure before check-out. Transfer to the airport for departure
