Overview: On March 8th, 1965, the US 9th Marine Brigade landed on Nam O Beach (nicknamed
Red Beach II) in Da Nang, which officially marked the American involvement in
Vietnam. Thenceforth, the names "I Corps Area", "Ashau Valley", "Hamburger
Hill", or "My Lai massacre" have never faded in the memory of American soldiers.
Coming back there nowadays, you can spend quiet moments on Non Nuoc Beach, once a
popular R&R site of American servicemen, or simply enjoy the serenity of the
ancient town of Hoi An , leaving behind all rueful remembrances of a distant
past . |

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
Arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, transfer to hotel. If time permits, City tour
of Ho Chi Minh City include War Remnant Museum where you could see the
significant display of many war artifacts; Reunification Palace which was once
the headquarter of the South Vietnamese’s government. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 2: HCMC - Da nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)

Transfer to airport for flight to Da Nang. Arrival in Da Nang and transfer to
hotel. After lunch, drive to Hoi An, visit Non Nuoc beach, Cham Museum on the way.
Enjoy Hoi An at night with lanterns shining ancient houses and pagodas. Coffee
in one of riverfront cafes is served after dinner. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 3: Hoi An (B, L, D)
Visit to former battlefield in Quang Namand Quang Ngai: Chu Lai base (optional:
Cam Doi base, Nui Que base, An Hoa base) and My Lai village. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Hoi An - Hue (B, L, D)
Transfer to Hue with stopover at Red beach. PM: visit to Imperial Citadel, Tu Duc
& Khai Dinh tombs. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5 Hue- A Luoi - Hue (B, L, D)
Transfer to A Luoi. Visit to A Bia hill (Hamburger hill), Hong Bac tunnels and
Ta Oi minority village in A Shaw. Return to and Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue-HCMC (B, L, D)
AM: one-hour cruise on Perfume river to Thien Mu Pagoda, then visit to Minh Mang
Tomb and Dong Ba market by coach. PM: flight back to HCMC. Transfer to and Overnight
at hotel in HCMC.
Day 7: HCMC Department (B)
