Day 1: Hanoi (D)
Welcome arrival at Noi Bai airport. Meet our guide and transfer to hotel. Free
at leisure or city tour if enough time: West Lake with Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoan
Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son temple and The Huc bridge. Dinner. Enjoy water puppet
show. Overnight at the hotel
Day 2: Hanoi - Ha Long (B,L,D)

After a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast we will depart Hanoi for the
four hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. On the way we will
stop for refreshments. Upon arriving in Ha Long City we board our private boat
for a cruise of the crystalline emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, giving us the
chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. Stop to
explore some grottoes: Thien Cung, Dau Go and Trinh Nu. Take picture at Ga Choi
stone. While on board a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch will be served
followed by the opportunity for a swim and a visit to some of the limestone
caves in this area. Back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi in late afternoon. Overnight in
Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Hanoi (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we leave in the morning to Mai Chau. We travel west through the
beautiful northwest mountainous countryside. Before reaching Mai Chau we stop on
the pass and take photos of the Mai Chau valley and then go to Lac village of
the Thai people, one of Vietnam's many ethnic minorities. We explore villages
and experience the wonderful hospitality of the Thai people. Meeting with the
local people gives you best chance for portraits. Have dinner and relax in Thai
stilt house after a truly remarkable and unforgettable day.
Day 4: Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we depart for Ninh Binh. Arrive in Ninh Binh in the afternoon.
Free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Ninh Binh town.
Day 5: Explore Tam Coc - Hoa Lu (B,L,D)
The picturesque site of Hoa Lu was one the ancient capital of Vietnam during the
Dinh, Le (10th century) and Ly (11th century) dynasties. Upon arrival, we
explore old temples dedicated to Vietnam’s Kings. It is also a chance to visit
the scenic Bich Dong Pagoda built in 1428 as we have a leisurely boat ride to
the three magnificent grottoes of Tam Coc, a Ha Long on Land called by many
travelers. Back to Hanoi. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Hanoi – Departure (B)
After breakfast, free for shopping at 36 old streets till check out to transfer
